ApfelArt opens Small Press for Submissions

ApfelArt  Small Press- Allowing the Voice to Grow with the Speaker

Metaphysical ~ Children's Books ~ Green Activism ~ Poetry ~ Fiction ~ Non-Fiction

When over-editing removes the essence of your voice or your spirit from your book, it becomes difficult for those who have read your book to connect to you at a lecture. The listener will not get the connection of your true voice through the edited version of you, they connected to in your book. Often they go away wondering why you do not sound like your book and wondering if you had a ghost writer that wrote it for you.
Many research academics are not able to give a  spoken lecture on their field of study that sounds like their book either, because researching takes time and they are often go back and add to a thought they started weeks ago. This voice will not lecture the same as their words are written either, and often relies on reading their written work to get their point across when presenting in a lecture.

Can You Give A Coherent Lecture, Without Reading Directly From Your Work?

I am always wary of becoming a front to a corporate push market. If you want to maintain your own voice in the work you present, consider submitting here rather than a corporate publisher that may eat up all your profits and edit you out of your book. After selling your name, corporate entities often want to take over production of your Brand. If you are the one in a million they see fit to put some branding into.  As your name gets bigger what they will offer from you gets smaller. If you get past the vanity scams that take and publish your work for huge fee's, relying on your dreams of fame and fortune, to put your money into their pocket to be published. If you are an activist, as many poets and writers are, "Corporate Branding" may not be the best for your voice, unless you control all aspects of your vision and can put your energy into choosing what comes out as yours.  Apfel Art small press is looking for those that have the capacity to speak their own words as they grow their voice. We are looking for those that are already at the lecture level and ready to present their words in book form. If you have a book that needs light editing for spelling and grammar but you want to keep the tone and fluctuation of your voice, look to ApfelArt for your publishing needs. Submit your book file to see if Apfel Art approves of and accepts your publication.
